If you are like me, then your pets are part of your family. What better way to declutter and stylize your home than to include your pets necessities in your decor? Buying special storage and bedding is one option, or you could just incorporate storage and bedding into what you already have available. Take a look at some of these great dog decor ideas.

I love the way that they incorporated a lounging bed into the kitchen design. This allows the dogs to relax and still hang out in the most popular room of the house. Although, considering the pillows makes me think that these dogs must be better behaved than mine.

 Utilize Unused space

If you don’t want to have the dogs sleeping beneath your kitchen cabinets, or customizing a cabinet in such a fashion is not practical, think about other unused areas that you might be able to convert to a usable space. When I designed my home, I put to use the space beneath the dogroomstairways. One set of stairs has a nice closet space beneath it. While, beneath the other stairway is a dedicated dog area. It is finished out with the same travertine that covers the mud room where these stairs are located. I also had the iron company create an iron door that matches the  railings.

I also like the idea  of having a built in food drawer. Of course, I don’t have one yet, but I plan to get around to building one sometime. In the meantime, take a look at this photo that inspires me.

If you have a unique feature designed for your pet, I love to hear about it. I can never get enough of great ways to spoil my pets!
