One of the things that I love about the town that I live in all of the streetlights that are reminiscent of the last century. I am especially fond of them during the holidays when the town pulls out the seasonal decorations. This is what led me to build my own DIY Christmas lamppost complete with lantern.
This year, I wanted to use up some of my leftover cedar fencing. With Halloween right around the corner, I thought that the cedar would be useful to create something rustic for my porch. I finally decided on making several rustic Halloween lanterns with Jack O’ lantern faces.
So, you’ve put up your Christmas tree. You’ve got all the decorations looking gorgeous. Everything is going great. Then, comes the finishing touch. The addition of the tree topper. And what do ya know? The stupid thing won’t stay upright!
My hearth room is the perfect place for a Christmas tree shipping crate stand. It looks very rustic and so, a rustic shipping crate has been on my list of to-do projects for a while. This year turned out to be the year!
