Well, it is summer and the kids are home playing and dragging out all of their toys, electronics, and what-nots. I know you are probably wishing for a good solutions for storing away all the mess. So, I have created a compilation of DIY projects from several of my favorite bloggers. These great kid’s storage ideas are sure to help with all the clutter. Plus, it will give you a good project, too.

Kid’s Storage Ideas…

This fabulous project by Smart Girls DIY is the perfect way to store legos and other small items when space is tights, and if Legos are your thing (or your kid’s thing), you really should check out these other Lego room ideas.

By far  Ana-White is one of my favorite fellow bloggers. This nifty toy storage bench is a great DIY for all of you woodworking hobbiest out there. If you are interested in recreating this project, just head on over to her blog for the instructions.

I absolutely love this idea from  Rambling Renovators. This old chest has been turned into a great way to store imagination play items. Hang all their dress-up gear and never worry about the mess.

Kid's Storage Ideas

A Lovely Place To Land has recycled this old chest into a chest/book shelf combo. This is great when you have a good chest that has some bad drawers.

Every wanted to do something about all those bath time toys? Well, check out the solution that The Inspired Home came up with. It’s budget friendly but effective.

If stuffed animals seem to be taking over your home, just put them in a cage. I found this cute little project over at the Owner Builder Network. It’s an animal zoo with bungee cord. Great for kids to quickly “stuff” the stuffed animals away.

Also at the top of my favorite blogger’s list is iHeart Organizing. This project was created with Ikea shelves. How’s that for budget friendly. For more great ideas from iHeart Organizing, head on over to her blog. (But please make sure to come back) ;-)

One of my suggestions for keeping the living spaces neat and tidy (besides banning all toys) is to use ottomans. This makes for a very quick clean up when guests arrive unexpectedly.

Final Thoughts…

So, what’s your best kid’s storage ideas? If you have a good one, share it with us. And as always, feel free to share, Tweet, or pin this post.
