Have you been wondering about how to cut the cord on your cable service? With the mad dash for everyone to dump their cable service, it really got me to thinking about how much money I waste each month on my own. I will admit that my husband and I are addicted to binging. We have Netflix and Amazon Prime to feed our habit, and we occasionally subscribe to Hulu to catch our favorites, (the Handmaid’s Tale and any Stephen King related shows). But, at least with those services, I can stop them each month and resume whenever I want. With cable, it is a completely, different story.
How to Clean a Dishwasher (my 411) – I grew up in one of those households where it was the kids’ responsibility to wash the dishes after dinner. Oh, how I hated washing those dishes! There was almost always an argument over whose turn it was, or who would wash and who would dry. I begged and pleaded for a dishwasher, which I was convinced would solve all of my teenage problems. So, when I moved into my very first place – back when I was still too young to even purchase alcohol – I invested in a dishwasher. It wasn’t too long after that purchase till I discovered that a dishwasher has its own source of problems.
Each year I look forward to seeing what the colors of year will be from all the different color gods that be – Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, Pantone, Pinterest, Zillow, etc. I am always curious if their choice will align with what I believe is trending, or will soon be trending. More often than not, I feel like I am watching a famous designer’s runway show. It’s fun to look at, way over the top, and you would never buy it for yourself. But this year, I was pleasantly surprised by the choices. So without further ado, here are the 2018 colors of the year!
I don’t know about you, but when I buy a piece of clothing I like it to stay looking like new for as long as possible. I do all the recommended tricks for keeping things in perfect shape. To name just a few: I spot clean as needed. I turn my jeans inside out before washing. And the big one, I don’t let my husband wash anything that I really like. 😉 But the most important thing that I have done is understanding laundry tags and their symbols.
How to Restore Pampered Chef Stoneware ( a Tale of the Recalcitrant Husband) – You know how there is that one thing that your significant other does that just really irritates you to no end? That one thing that no matter what you do or say, they seem determined to drive you mad by continuing to do it. Maybe for you it is hair in the sink, or clothes on the floor. Well, for me it is doing the dishes properly.
