Recently, I was searching through Pinterest looking for some good pins to add to my flooring board. (BTW – I highly recommend following me). 😉 What I noticed were so very many articles on cleaning wood floors that were offering some very wrong advice. Now, I don’t claim to be a professional flooring installer, but I know my way around wood, and I have done my fair share of flooring installs and repairs. So, I just wanted to offer my two cents on how to care for wood floors, and what you should not do.
Well, one more summer has come to an end, and a wonderful Fall seems to be just around the corner. I love the crisp, cool weather. I love being able to pull out my Fall wardrobe – chucking the flip flops for my socks and booties. There are only a few issues with Fall that I dread… ragweed pollen and Fall cleaning. My goal each year is to complete each item on my Ultimate Fall Cleaning Checklist Printable before the ragweed pollen season ends. (My sinuses let me know if I have succeeded) 😉
I don’t know about you, but my mattress and my bedding are two things that I am diligent about preserving. I want them to have as long a life as possible. Partly, because mattresses are so expensive and partly because a good set of sheets are so hard to find. (Or maybe that is just me. I admit that I am particular about how my sheets feel). So, I sat down and compiled a list of the things that you can do to extend the life of your bedding.

Back when the front load washers were just first coming out on the market, I was so thrilled to be getting a new set. I had dreamed of the day when I no longer needed to make a trip to the laundry mat or to use the cleaners for my larger items. Then, the day came and I gladly handed over the cash for my two new beauties. Little did I know, at the time, that I was about to embark upon one of the most challenging household problems that I had yet to encounter – the dreaded front loader stink!
Most of us just love our big and little pets. What we don’t love is the maintenance it takes to keep flooring and furniture looking and smelling good. If you own a dog or cat, then you know exactly what I mean, and finding pet proof rugs is easier said than done!
